ABOUT THE CLUB
Founded at its present location in Grand Rapids Township in 1921, Cascade Hills Country Club remains one of the top premier private, member-owned clubs in Michigan. Steeped in tradition, the Club features outstanding golf facilities, an aquatics center, tennis & pickleball, and a full calendar of social events and family activities. With a full and active membership of 725, Cascade Hills sets an unrivaled standard in our efforts to provide the highest possible quality, in the friendliest manner, in all areas of the Club.
The members of Cascade Hills continue to invest heavily in their Club. Since 2001, renovations and expansions have been made across the entire facility. This fall the aquatics clubhouse will begin a renovation project along with the addition of two platform tennis courts to promote continuous, year-round use of the Club for our members.

GOLF FACILITIES
The Club features a challenging 6900-yard, Par-71, Jack Daray Sr. layout that boasts classic design elements and superb course conditions throughout the rolling property. Protected by fast, push-up style greens, the refrain "don't be above the hole" remains sage advice to members and guests. The course offers a variety of demanding shots over the 18-holes that keep the player engaged, particularly on the four stout Par-3's where a player will likely be expected to utilize four different clubs when teeing off.
In 2020, the Club opened "The Park," a nine-hole, par-3 course that features multiple tees and yardages for all level of play and a 50,000 square foot putting course.
In 2015, the Golf Performance Center (GPC) was built as part of the driving range and short game area renovation. The 2500 square foot facility has a dedicated instructional space, 6 additional indoor/outdoor, heated hitting areas, winter club storage, custom fitting equipment storage, Trackman technology, and welcome area. In January of 2026 the building added new turf and the addition of a brand new 550 sq ft putting and chipping green.
Other assets include:
• Two short game areas; one on either end of the driving range including 3 sand traps.
• Putting green between #1 and #10 tee
• Two tier driving range including a 14-space artificial turf space.

Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years as a junior golf instructor.

Essential Responsibilities

• Seasonal position from May 1st through August 31st.
• Design, implement, and lead a comprehensive junior golf development program serving 200+ junior golfers.
• Programs to include weekly junior golf camps, PGA Junior League, on course clinics, and additional junior clinics.
• Supervise, mentor, and manage additional junior golf instructors, including scheduling, lesson planning, performance feedback, and maintaining consistent instructional standards.
• Develop structured practice plans, drills, and curriculum appropriate for varying ages, skill levels, and developmental stages.
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that promotes sportsmanship, enjoyment, and player retention.
• Collaborate with the Director of Instruction and golf operations team to align junior golf programming with club goals, facilities usage, and overall instructional philosophy.
• Maintain accurate records related to participation, progress tracking, and instructor hours.
• Serve as professional ambassador for the club, fostering strong relationships with juniors, parents, staff, and members.
• Assist Director of Instruction with golf schools, clinics, private instruction, and facility maintenance, cleanliness, and oversight.
• Attend all staff meetings.
